Christmas as the “festival of gifts” par excellence. The celebration of exchange, of altruism, of light, so difficult to bear for those who live in the shadows.
From the famous story by Charles Dickens, the AnimaScenica theater company presents an enigmatic and multi-faceted character: secluded, petty, apparently devoid of hope and love, only accompanied by two funny and grotesque mice who seem to be the only two creatures with whom he is in able to relate.
But Christmas makes incredible things happen to him too and, in an extraordinary journey through the “dark forest” of his soul and his memories, he will manage to recover the value of lost humanity… But is it really true?
A prose show of varied theatrical languages: music, actors, puppets and masks to draw a bridge between real and unreal, between dream and nightmare, between earthly and otherworldly. A poetic and profound show but at times also funny and grotesque, suitable for adults and children of all ages who love to be excited and amazed by the magic of a “Canto di Natale”.
